South Street Seaport hosts the annual NY brewfest, where hundreds of craft brewers gather to give out samples of their best brews. I checked it out, and despite the rain, it was a fun way to get a beer education. (This was shot with my digital camera!)

St Marks Place (8th Street between 3rd Ave and Ave A in the East Village) is always buzzing with activity. There are so many restaurants and shops tucked into every corner, with everything from yakitori joints to tattoo parlors, jewelry stands, pizza shops, yoga studios, indie music vendors, and more. It's a great place to people watch and get some really yummy and affordable food. (This is an example of an unedited 30-second video clip shot on a regular digital camera.)

A sociopolitical video view of New York by Dr. Patrick Treacy. It defines a commonality between the music of the street and the Government problems of America. The video author lived in both New York and Baghdad for a period and is well placed to analyze the problems that now face both cities that are presently pitched in battle against each other. Background music by rapper and songwriter Cam'ron, founder of the hip-hop group The Diplomats, commonly known as Dipset. was born in Harlem, New York. He went to school at Manhattan Center High School, where he would meet his long time friends Mase and Jim Jones. He began his musical career in the mid 1990s, rapping alongside Big L. visited the NYC Waterfalls with my in-laws. We took a boat ride to see the NYC Waterfalls, a public art exhibit by Olafur Eliasson. Take the 30 minute boat tour from the South Street Seaport to see closeup views of all 4 of these remarkable waterfalls.
