Go where the locals hang out. This is the Central Park of Munich, and while you're there, get a few beers at the Beer Garden.

I was exploring Munich's magnificent royal palace when all of a sudden I heard a jazz band warming up on the other side of a wall. Wahhh? Didn't detract from the gorgeous decor and furniture, however, but seemed to add to the mystique of the place.

Sledding at its best! Forget the puny hill in your neighborhood and leave the giant trash can top at home because less than an hour from Munich is what is claimed to be Germany's longest tobogganing run. If you are looking for something to do in the winter near Munich, this is some of the most fun I've had since I was a kid.

Feast on pretzels, sausage, and a whole lot of beer with Burt Wolf as he eats and drinks his way around Munich. Cheers!

After the market and royal palace, we went to check out Munich's famous English Garden, the largest park in central Europe. We ran into a young man named Martin and I thought I would conduct a mini-interview and ask him dumb questions pertaining to German stereotypes. But then I got distracted and went for a frolic instead. Enjoy!

And here is a clip from our last night at Oktoberfest. Check out the dudes in the lederhosen killing it to "Summer of '69"... we seriously felt out of place not wearing the traditional clothing. They alllll wear it. Enjoy, and please forgive me for saying "Rock it out, yeah!"

Here is my Oktoberfest night two intro, as we walk towards the beer tents and the mayhem. What I didn't realize about Oktoberfest is that it's not just about beer and swaying arm in arm with strangers from around the world. Oh, no. It's also a full blown carnival. Check out the rides behind me in this clip, as I show you the Oktoberfest beer drinking exercises we devised after being such drunken rookies the first night. Practice and prepare, my friends!

So here you go- two American girls pretty plastered at Oktoberfest! A few things to note: No one sits at Oktoberfest, that's why everyone is standing on the tables. You have to make a reservation at least a year in advance in order to even have a table to stand on. Cost of table: Two beers and a whole roasted chicken. Luckily, Germans are so friendly that these guys let us crash their table. In this clip watch Beth and I having an ultimate travel moment- realizing how wonderful our lives are. "F*ck success!" Lol!

Here's my little opening commentary in the beer tent. Note that I'm singing "Sweet Home Alabama." This surprised the hell out of us- there's a traditional German polka band in each tent but they play mainly classic (and odd) American songs. We couldn't get over that we traveled all that way to a cultural event only to hear southern rock.

And here we are, recovered from jet lag, rocking it with our new German friends in a beer tent. Please watch the beer tent videos in numerical order to best understand how drunk you can get off just one of those giant beers. We start slurring. A lot. It's pretty damn funny.

This little clip was shot at the airport in Munich at the beginning of my best friend Beth and I's epic Euro trip '08. We were there to experience Oktoberfest, but were really freakin' tired at this point. Thought it was good to upload to juxtapose with the next vid of us in a beer tent- to show just how EXCITED we really got!
