The Trippy Awards: Nominate your Favorites
After a whopping turnout last year, we are excited to kick off the Second Annual Trippy Awards. We want to honor the 3500 new & outstanding videos we have received over the past year, as well as all the new members that have made Tripfilms the best yet. Help us launch The Trippy Awards by nominating the videos and filmmakers that inspired you in 2009.
The TripVlogger of the Year will receive the grand prize of an all expense paid trip to China, sponsored by Pacific Delight Tours. More details to come but trust us, it's pretty amazing. This year, we are also awarding sponsored prizes for many of the winners.

- LOL Award: Funniest Video
- How do you say... Award: Best Foreign Language Video
- Newcomer of the Year: Best New Filmmaker
- Better than a Guidebook: Best Destination Overview Video
- Concierge Award: Best Hotel Video
- Getting Local Award: Best Video featuring a Local
- Are We There Yet? Award: Best Family Travel Video
- Extreme Award: Best Adventure Travel Video
- On The Road Award: Best Series about a Trip
- Destination Profile Award: Best Series about a Destination
- Not Tourism "Bored" Award: Best Tourism Board video
2009 Contest Period ends February 28th 2010:
- Most Loved Award: Filmmaker with the most videos added as favorites in 2009
- Top of the Charts Award: Filmmaker with the most views in 2009
- Chatty Cathy Award: Member who made the most comments in 2009
- BFF Award: Member with the most friends added in 2009
To nominate:
- Email trippy@tripfilms.com with"Trippy Award Nominations" in the subject line.
- For each nomination, include the award category and a link to the member or video you’re nominating (any videos uploaded to Tripfilms before January 31, 2010 are eligible).
- You can nominate up to 3 nominees per category.
- Send your nominations by Sunday, January 31, 2010.
We will announce the final nominees on Monday, February 1st. Voting will begin then and continue through Sunday, February 28th. The winners will be announced on March 1st.
