    Pack a lunch and make sure to bring your own water if you're going on the bike ride - although they have water fountains at the visitor's center and the observation tower, the water tastes terrible! There are also vending machines at the front, but snacks are limited to candy.

    I have no idea why it's called Shark Valley. I've read that the water bleeds into the Gulf, where there are sharks - and that if you go ten miles in either direction, the land raises a whole foot, but I don't really buy that.

    Nice job! The everglade are magnificent! Wonder why it is called Shark Valley?
