Laos Waterfalls

The Kuang Si waterfalls are located a short drive outside of Luang Prabang. On the way to the waterfalls, you pass a Black Bear Sanctuary where Asian black bears that are rescued from a horrible fate of being sold to bile farms can live a peaceful life. Guidebooks describe the many-tiered waterfalls tumbling over limestone formations into a series of cool, turquoise pools but it looked more like brown muddy water! Also not publicized is the tendency of leeches to attach themselves to wading tourists! Swimmers beware! Watch out for leeches!
