Sand in your eye, The Dunes of Huacachina

Halfway up the coast, tucked away amongst giant sand dunes lies the palm fringed oasis of Huacachina. This little story book town feels more like the Sahara than Peru. There are no camels here, but instead of ships of the desert there is a small fleet of dune buggies and an armada of sand boards. After spending nearly two months in the altiplano we were ready for a change and this was exactly what we needed to recharge our batteries.
