Wandering the Munich Residenz

The Wittelsbach family, dukes, electors, and kings of Bavaria for some 800 years, lived for over 300 years in this palace, enlarging it and changing it over the years. Although it was largely destroyed in the Second World War, much of it has been restored and some 90 rooms, as well as the treasury, can now be viewed. The treasury contains some remarkable pieces of jewelry, relics, and other valuable objects.
