Pilot Rock - awesome hiking!
About a half-hour drive south of Ashland, just over the Oregon border is Pilot Rock. Great easy hike around the base, but you can turn into a moderate-to-advanced hike by doing an ol-fashioned scramble to the top - about 5900 feet up with spectacular views! Not really strenuous, but definitely takes some nerve! :-)
