Kinbasket Lake/Columbia River
About 1 hour North West of Golden BC Canada is Kinbasket Lake. It was formed when a big dam was put on the Columbia River in 1973. The lake is spectacular and the surrounding mountain scenery is unparalleled. There are all sorts of back roads you can take into no-man's land with mountain streams everywhere and waterfalls and all sorts of amazing hikes.
