The Distant Lands Show takes the cheapskate's route out of Aguas Calientes aka Machu Picchu Pueblo, via the Hydroelectric Station (Hidroelectrica), Santa Teresa-with a diversion to the Cocalmayo Hotsprings-and on to Santa Maria, where one can then get transport headed for Cusco or Quillabamba. This is the most economical route known-especially if you walk from the Hydroelectric Station-to get to Machu Picchu. Check it out.
