Botel Marina - Bratislava, Slovakia

When Stu and I were looking for a place to stay in Bratislava, Slovakia, the choice was a no brainer ? we chose the Botel Marina! Why? Well, this botel ? which is a hotel that?s also a boat ? had character. It was the funkiest place we had ever stayed at, and we?d go back there in a heartbeat. The Botel Marina is harbored on the left bank of the Danube River with a fantastic view of Bratislava castle, and and only eight minute walk to the old town. Krishna is the on board restaurant serving the most delicious Indian delicacies. You can take in magnificent views while dining. Downstairs in the bottom of the boat is a nightclub with a stripper pole! We spent every evening there partying with the locals. The Botel Marina staff was super friendly, warm and helpful. Our room was very tiny, with two twin beds that cannot be joined together, which will give a challenge to the romantically inclined. But, the beds were super comfy and we slept great! But, everything was clean and smelled good. Sometimes when a barge would pass, the botel would lurch a bit in the wake. I thought that was rather cool. The Botel Marina is the perfect small budget hotel, and if you like quirky places to stay like we do, make sure you stay here when you go to Bratislava!
