Where better to ski out west for the first time, than at Salt Lake's breathtaking mountains. Just a 30 minute drive from downtown Salt Lake City takes you to four incredible mountains, each one with it's own charm and personality. I had never seen mountains like this before and my jaw was dropped the entire time. See how this East Coast skiier fairs on the big hills.

Day 1: Brighton. A family oriented local spot, Brighton had great trails, a relaxed atmosphere and very friendly people. It's popular with snowboarders and skiiers alike and the four terrain parks make it a great spot to practices your aerials and rails.
Don't forget to grab a bite and beer at the authentic ski pub, Molly Greene's.
