Driving Acadia's Park Loop Road
The 27-mile Park Loop Road is a great way to see Acadia, moving through many of the classic Acadia landscapes from the rocky coast to the bald-topped mountains the island was named for. Along the way is Sand Beach, one of the most popular stops along the road with its white sand and chilly water. Even on a hot day, I am surprised that so many people play in the 55 degree waves. Other stops include Otter Cliffs (one of the highest headlands north of Rio de Janeiro) Jordan Pond House restaurant and Cadillac Mountain.
