The Beehive looms over Acadia National Park's southeast corner and dominates the landscape above Sand Beach. From Park Loop Road one can see hikers clinging to its red-granite sides. The National Park Service lists the climb as strenuous, but at a mere 520 feet, how hard could it be? Be ready, this little mountain throws some surprises at you.
