Alcazar of Segovia

Located just 30 minutes by train from Spain's capital city of Madrid you will find the historic city of Segovia which is the home of the stone fortification known as the Alcazar. The first historical mention of this fortress goes as far back as 1120 AD, and throughout the years it has served the functions of a royal palace, a state prison, a royal artillery college, and finally a military academy.
