Trek to Gokyo Ri, Everest Part 1-Episode 41
Seth & I start our trek from Lukla, Nepal to reach the tiny village of Gokyo. Our objective is to summit Gokyo Ri at 17,600ft (5,360m) in order to get a bird's eye view of Mt Everest. Six days of trekking and lots of grumbling was all that was required (as well as a porter if one could be had). It was clear that we had too much gear and not enough strength, but slow and steady ultimately won out.
