This temple was made famous by a poem.The temple had a big bell and the midnight bell toll can reach very far,reaching the travellers in boats berthed near a famous bridge.One of them was a poet.He felt very nostalgic and wrote a poem which became very famous.In the poem This temple was mentioned.
