The Karez Ancient Water Supply System
Long time ago the people found an underground spring at the hillside,oozing out water like a dragon.They called it "Long Kou" the dragon mouth.Instead of letting the water to waste,they built special protected drains to distribute the water to some small pools(called wells) around the village,so that people could enjoy clean water without going the the spring.This was the primitive water supply system.
