get inspired!

We are a group of friends who live in New York City. We all like to explore new places, watch movies, and create useful and unique websites that combine our interests.

In July, 2007, we launched Tripfilms, a travel website that brings destinations to life through video.

We think that short videos about where to eat, where to stay, and what to do are the best way to preview a place before you go. The real travelers in our community have uploaded thousands of authentic, informative, and inspiring videos about hundreds of destinations so that you can explore the world through Tripfilms.

Why upload your videos to Tripfilms? Besides sharing your travel stories and tips with friends, family, and other travelers, we’ll give you one point you can apply to rewards every time your videos are watched. Also, our top contributors get to travel on us as TripVloggers. If you don’t know how to edit videos, that’s okay. Upload unedited clips from your digital camera and add helpful and fun on-screen text using our video annotation tool.

Take a tour of Tripfilms:

For more info, check out our FAQ and press mentions, or contact us. We’d love to hear from you.

The night before I was supposed to visit Taiwan back in 2000, I noticed that my passport was expired. I really felt stupid. Because I live in New York, I was able to get my passport renewed in a single day.
    Why I work at Tripfilms
I think high quality online travel videos will be big.

During a road-trip in Italy, we ended up in a B&B late at night. They reserved a table for us at their friend’s restaurant. The meal was 20 Euros per person and lasted 3 hours. It was the best meal I’ve ever had (5 courses or so), the B&B was excellent, the whole town was pure awesomeness.
    Why I work at Tripfilms
Exciting experience, awesome team and a Chipotle next door.

I love all of it, even the airports. Road tripping around the Italian countryside with friends is high up there. So is sailing in the Greek islands. I felt like Odysseus.
    Worst Travel Mishap
All the mishaps turn out to be some of the best stories... But if I have to choose, food poisoning week 1 with my very excited New Zealand host family or losing my luggage in the Galapagos and having only an "I love Boobies*" tshirt to wear for a week (*Blue Footed Boobies).
    Why I work at Tripfilms
Because I get to be traveling everyday and TF is just awesome.
