Tripfilms Travel Video Requirements

What makes a travel video good?

We think that effective online travel videos have a few basic things in common: they are short, they tell a story, they provide useful tips, and they are easy to watch (with clean sound and steady shooting).

To qualify for rewards, the TripVlogger program, and the assignments on our Job Board, please aspire to upload videos that:

  • are at least 30 seconds and no more than 3 minutes long;
  • have good, clean sound;
  • are narrated, either by people on-camera or with voiceover;
  • have steady shots, and shots from varying distances and angles;
  • are informative and relevant to travel.

Be sure to watch How to Make a Travel Video by Tripfilms pro filmmaker justin before you start:

  • What’s so special?
  • Shoot to edit.
  • Get in front of the camera.
  • Share your story.
  • Research.
  • Keep it short.
  • Meet the locals.
  • Have fun!
