I was born and raised in the Detroit area and after attending Central Michigan University, I cut my teeth and gained experience working as a Camera Assistant on commercials and industrials in Detroit, After about 4 years of being a Camera Assistant, I started working as a Cinematographer and Editor doing short films, documentaries, Industrials and Commercials.

I lived in Europe for a short time and shot a short film while I was living in Switzerland. The Director brought the footage to America when I returned and I ended up cutting it for him as well!

I moved to NYC and lived there for 8 years working on mostly commercials, documentaries and a few short films as both an Editor and Cinematographer.

I now live in Brazil with my wife and son and I still go up to NYC for work quite often. I am primarily doing the same thing here that I do in NYC, although, the weather is much nicer! Brazil is a very interesting country and quite diverse and I am glad I have to opportunity to live here.

I think it is obvious that I love travel and experiencing different cultures and I hope that never stops.

I enjoy both cinematography work and editing work and they both have different vibes, and they fulfill different functions in the production of film, and I like being involved in both sides of these disciplines. I plan to do more shooting and spend less time in the edit room while in Brazil. I still love to shoot film and that will never change as film has a quality that video, not even HD can deliver, but what I love about the new technology and the more compact, high quality video cameras is that you can do fun projects like this one and that allows me to keep an open mind and open eyes.

In my spare time, I do a lot of still photography (Go figure!), spend time with my family and swim a lot!

I am always interested in collaborating with keen Directors who have a keen vision.
